The Birmingham Police Department is investigating a homicide. The incident happened on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
The victim will be identified when notifying the next of kin.
At around 5:00 a.m., agents from the northern sector were sent to block 3100 of 30e Court North on report of a person descended inside a residence.
Officers arrived at the residence when they walked inside and observed an adult female victim lying unresponsive.
Birmingham firefighters arrived at the scene and declared the victim dead.
The preliminary investigation revealed evidence at the scene indicating that a homicide took place at the scene.
Currently, no suspects are in custody.
