Landry’s repair and outboard engine service expands its offering

Delta Decoys, Night Crawlers, Worms and more are now available for purchase at Landry’s Outboard Motors & Repair Service, LLC at Germans.

The owners of Landry’s Outboard Motors & Repair Service, LLC in Germans recently announced that they will be adding to the store’s slate of offers this month. The store will sell rods, reels and fishing tackle.

Owner Robert Landry and his wife Jill are each from St. Charles Parish. Jill said business has been great since the store reopened Jan. 3 after being closed for four months following Hurricane Ida.

“Business has been really good…really good,” she said. “Overall it’s been very busy and we’ve been blessed.”

Jill said the couple decided to start selling the hardware, worms, night crawlers and other new products after customers asked them.

“We use local material, so everything will come from local suppliers and everyone who makes local bait,” she said.

The company, located at 4428 Autoroute 90 in Des Allemands, held a grand opening on May 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate new releases. Jill said the day included food, door prizes, music, on-site paraphernalia vendors and more.

The store has been a mainstay of the community for over 20 years. Landry’s Outboard Engine and Repair Service goals are to assist customers with the highest quality service and repairs on Yamaha, Mercury, Johnson and Evinrude outboard engines, along with the correct parts. and accessories. It is also an Authorized Dealer and Certified Service Center for Utility Poles – Shallow Water Anchors.

Since opening the business, Robert has been a Mercury service and warranty reseller. He also specialized in painting engines of all makes and types, as well as rebuilding powerheads and cleaning injectors. More recently, he began selling, installing and servicing utility poles and selling Lowe Brand boats.
