Dubai launches one-stop-shop for media professionals and organizations

Dubai has launched a one-stop-shop for media professionals and organizations who can now enjoy a range of exclusive services in the emirate.

Titled “One Media Dubai”, the Dubai Media Council initiative will benefit Emirati, Arab and foreign media professionals and organizations, Khaleej Times reported.

“The launch of ‘One Media Dubai’ will add significant new value to the media community in Dubai and support efforts to realize the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, to enhance the emirate’s status as a leading global media center,” said council chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

“The initiative will also enhance the rich, supportive and growth-friendly environment that Dubai offers to creatives, innovators and other professionals in the media industry,” he added.

The first phase of the initiative will offer services such as media and business licensing, office leasing, visa and immigration, banking, tourism and hospitality, education consultancy, residential real estate and telecommunications services.

The service was launched in partnership with various governmental and semi-governmental entities in Dubai such as the Media Regulatory Authority, Dubai Media City, Federal Identity and Citizenship Authority, General Directorate of Residence and foreigners in Dubai, the Department of Economy and Tourism, Knowledge and Human Development Authority (Khda), Emirates NBD, Dubai Design District and Etisalat.

The Dubai Press Club has been tasked with spearheading the implementation of the initiative by facilitating access to the services offered.
