Astronautics Corp. moves its model shop to Oak Creek, finalizing the move

OAK CREEK, WI – Astronautics Corporation has completed its consolidation in Oak Creek, marking the first time the company has its headquarters, model shop, repairs, quality, production, engineering and support under one roof. , the company announced in a press release on Wednesday.

This is the first time in the company’s 60-year history that the facilities have been on the same campus. The company said the Oak Creek headquarters was designed to improve collaboration and innovation.

Astronautics designs and manufactures equipment used in commercial and military aircraft. The main product lines include flight displays, connected aircraft solutions and electronic flight bags. Founded in 1959, the company also owns Kearfott Corporation, based in New Jersey.

The 190,000 square foot headquarters is adjacent to Oak Creek’s Drexel Town Square, located at 135 West Forest Hill Avenue.

“Collocating all of our Milwaukee-area facilities has a direct impact on collaboration,” said Tom Servais, Model Shop Manager for Astronautics.

“The design process is enhanced because engineering, manufacturing and repairs have convenient access to manufacturing and environmental testing. Additionally, our new facility provides us with the opportunity to expand our operations with a workforce talented, high-tech company that will design, manufacture, test, and build cutting-edge aerospace products that will make flight safer and more secure,” Servais said in the press release.
